You may remember a while ago when I mentioned (here) about my painting being accepted for the annual autumn painting exhibition at The National Art Museum in Timisoara, Romania. Well, it happened, and of course I have pictures of the event! It was just like I imagined: a lot of unknown people/artists, mingling, talking and drinking champaign. I am a newcomer, I didn’t even finish Art University, so I guess it’s normal to feel a bit weird around people who paint for a living. I still didn’t decide between fashion design, photography or painting, but who said I need to, when I can do them all!
Me and my classmate Smara (she also had a painting showcased in this exhibition); Anca Demenescu (bottom, left) is another classmate who also had a painting selected.
The best thing was that there were teachers of mine participating at this very important exhibition (Trutulescu Marian, Toma Dan, Daju Cristina, David Carol, Sida Cristian, Romul Nutiu, Ungar Nicolae - all throughout my artistic education) . It was weird for me too see that something I have created was worth showcasing among works of such amazingly talented and locally important artists. Lots of Thank You’s to UATP - Timisoara, the winner of the exhibition was Corban Delia with her sculpture “Crestinare”. Oh my god, your self portrait is amazing! Seriously can I but it!?! I just love the colours, really dark and interesting with the occasional splash of really bold colour. It’s so 60s and pop art - ish, which is always good in my opinion. I love the Twiggy like eyes. Congrats!

I think you’re better at painting than fashion design or photography. I really don’t mean this negative, but if I need to choose, I would say your the best at painting. You are really good!
