Welcome to my website ... and enjoy my journey inside the twisted world of Romanian fashion: from fabric choosing to pattern cutting, to the actual sewing - right now, I try to do my best in bulding my own clothing label: DIANA BOBAR DESIGN and having fun blogging the process.

Black Tulle

night out 11

Guess what? I am too old to party. No, seriously. I’m 21 years old, and this should be the perfect time for going out, having a great time, dancing with friends, party hoping and such. Right? There must be something wrong with me, because I feel I’m over that. How can it be? I mean, I did go to my fair share of (weekly) all through high-school, can it be that I had enough? I do miss the mad dancing, the joy of ‘living’ a song, but I guess I am just too old.

Yesterday I had to go to a party and I can’t say it sucked. There were funny moments and great people present. The club was great too (D’arc). However, all I could think of was work, what I had to do next, what I didn’t finish before leaving for the party. At one time, I even imagined my newly sewed dresses on random people that were dancing in front of me (yes, on boys too). Pretty weird, I know.

Anyway, I wore an all black outfit and felt like a simplified Japanese lolita, as my dress (strapless with a bow at the bust) had a whole lot of black tulle at the skirt part. My boyfriend called me a black fairy. I told him fairies are so ‘now’ (hint: Prada).

Maybe in my 40’s I’ll party like a rock star.

  1. H-O-T!!! Really lovely outfit ;) And I don’t have to say that I couldn’t be a role model of clubbing not even in the ninth reincarnation :D and I don’t find it bad, I mean, there can be lots of way for fun, even work sometimes is fun :)

  2. Oohhh I’m totally like you!
I’m feeling the same when going out, it is just not anymore like when I was younger..
But now I cherish the moments at home with my boyfriend and doing my own thing.
    Whe are just growing up!

  3. you’re tired of clubbing? i’m 20 so i kinda get how you feel, i’m more along the lines of i just can’t be bothered with it in general. i have friends who have a completely different idea around clubbing which doesn’t help either. didn’t do it when i was younger don’t feel to do it now (and i live in London too), crazy though. love the dress. all ur dresses are fab. :)

  4. You look great. And it’s probably more a matter of having developed other, more serious, creative interests that take a lot of your time and energy.

  7. Love that dress, so elegant. Your hair looks amazing in the picture and i love the pink lipstick! Pink lipstick is my favourite type of makeup at this time of the year, it’s so girly and fun!
