Inspiration:
First there was Maison Martin Margiela ss07 ready-to-wear collection (pictures up). Watch the whole collection here.
Then the Facehunter snapped a picture of this girl wearing a Margiela inspired bodysuit:
Great huge hand bag and lovely haircut.
Susie over at Style Bubble got inspired herself and tried the look out, adding her own personality to it. She also started the “I Have Never…” trend: you wear something you never thought you would. Ever.
Here, she actually wears a dress as a skirt and looks quite interesting and inspiring to me.

Read the whole post on this look of hers here.
Then I started accepting the idea of styling an outfit with a bra on the exterior:

This photo is taken from the “A Last Breath Of Summer” photo shoot that I styled and photographed myself.
Last but not least, I had to try in on my own, meaning I had to play a bit with the idea of wearing a bra over clothes. These are the looks I came up with today, while embracing Margiela’s design idea:

[Most of the garments are, of course, vintage. The cropped, black blazer is United Colors Of Benetton. The heels are my mom's. The paintings in the background are done by me.].
While trying on the last outfit on and looking in the mirror, I didn’t even notice the bra, that’s how used I got to it. For me, it was a success and I can’t wait to go out and wear one of these looks. The “awwwww”’s and “ewwwww”’s, but more importantly the shocked looks on peoples faces, are always priceless!
Fashion is fun, never forget that.

The purple and the red looks are my favorites!
diana… you really amaze me how you get an idea and you run with it like no one i’ve ever seen. i’m thoroughly impressed!

Thank you:) it’s so flattering to hear that!

It actually looks kind of cool… fashion should be fun, and shocking people is always a plus!
my personal favourite is the red wiggle dress. it looks amazing! this is a look i completely adore, but sadly i think my girls are a bit too big & boistorous for me to really work it.
I don’t think I could deal with an actual bra on the front of a top, but I think I would be able to deal with that sort of shape on a top in a normal fabric. (i’m such a chicken!)
