Diana Bobar Design fall/winter 2009 collection:

I design and make clothes for pretty and feminine girls who are not afraid to play with volumes, ruffles, rouches and all-in-all prettiness. However, for this next collection I wanted to add a bit of roughness to the idea of ,girlie girl,. The look that I wanted to create was feminine with a kinky-though twist.
That is why I chose only neutral colors such as butter, nude, light gray and the always chic black.I wanted to evolve, grow up a bit, be more sophisticated without loosing the feminine quality of my clothes.
Like usual, I collaborated with Coca Zaboloteanu for the shoes and with Josephine for the jewelery. Also, new this season is the collaboration with Oana who hand-makes her Star Bags. I really wanted to create a look, not just a dress. This is probably the collection with most of myself in it: from the hair and make-up to the whole look. It is who I am and what I like right now. Having your own line is HUGE and I couldn’t even imagine doing what you do.
I’ve been following you for a while now (sounds creepy) and this collection is an obvious evolution in style, structure and concept. It’s obvious you are a very talented designer.
You should be very proud of yourself.
My mom used to design clothes in Romania and I know the type of women you sometimes have to deal with…If I could tell you anything, it would be to never ever compromise your vision. Refuse the orders that clash with what you believe in…you are way too talented for that.

I like this new collection a lot. In my opinion this is your best one. I can see how much you guys evolved. I luv all: clothes, shoes, bags, jeweleries…everything. Congratulations guys, for this new collection!

Great job, Diana! I really really love this one. It’s hard to decide but here are my favorites: randul 4 (de sus in jos)- tinutele 1 si 2 de la stanga la dreapta, randul 5 -toate, randul 6 - toate, randul 7 -2 si 3 de la stanga la dreapta, randul 9 (tinuta 3 din stanga). Pantofii gladiator sunt geniali! Cel mai mult imi place insa ultima tinuta cu franjuri (am o obsesie cu franjurile lately)!

Nu stiu cum reusesti sa faci in timp atat de scurt o colectie la asa o calitate, poate eu sunt mai ineficienta din acest punct de vedere, al timpului :(
Bravo again…si poate imi sugerezi si mie la momentul oportun cu ce designer de accesorii ar trebui sa colaborez, bineinteles cand am si eu colectia ready to print…:)

I really like the shapes of all those outfits and it was right of you to go for neutral colours - they add that special chic.
The simplest of dresses look best, I think, like the knee-length ones with A-line skirts and the white mini-dress with black stripes. Mmmm they look so great!
