DBD - Diana Bobar Design ss’08 rtw collection [click to enlarge].
I am glad to finally present you the DBD - Diana Bobar Design spring/summer 2008 ready-to-wear collection. After three weeks of non-stop sewing (literally) I finally finished it. It’s my first full collection, so I wanted to make it very representative of myself and my own style; that’s why I chose so much pink. Basically I made clothes that I’d love to wear! Some garments feature painted or hand-pleated details.
I sewed each and every piece of clothing you see here all by myself, using a very old, borrowed sewing machine that I placed on the heater (I still have no working desk - must do something about that; hint: a personal art/sewing atelier would be amazing!!!). I sell all the pieces you see here, so if you want to get one of my designs (sewed in your size, especially for you) just contact me at diana[at]sofashon.com or dianabobar[at]yahoo.com. The prices are in the range of 50 - 60 Euro + 13 Euro shipping tax for customers outside Romania. I have a working Paypal account as a payment possibility and I do ship to every part of the world.

Look 1,2 feature elastic fabric; look 3 features hand-painted, graphic details at the bust area.
Look 4 - hand-painted, graphic details and studs on the top; look 5 - a corset; look 6 stretch fabric.
Look 7 - hand-painted, graphic details at the bust area; look 8 - hand pleated collar; look 9 - sheer over stretch fabric.
Look 10 - high-waisted skirt and tube top; look 11, 12 - dresses with pleated details and ruffles.
Look 13 - Strapless dress with a pleated flower; look 14, 15 - dresses with pleated details.
Look 16 - tube top and skirt that has painted details on the front part; look 17 - dress with hand-pleats’ look 18 - jersey shirt-dress over red stretch dress.
Look 19, 20, 21 - dresses with pleated details and sheer fabric.
Look 22 - tight, long, black dress and pleated top; Look 23, 24 - dresses with pleated details.
Look 25, 26, 27 - dresses with hand-painted and pleated details.
Look 28, 29, 30 - dresses with pleated details and studs.
Look 31 - halter neck dress; look 32, 33 - stretch dress and tweed, cropped jacket.
Look 34 - tight, black, long dress and cropped, pink jacket with pleated detail at the back.
Look 35, 36 - dresses with attached ruffles; look 37 - tight, black, long dress with pleated flower at the front.

Sunt superbe toate, imi plac la nebunie! Preferatele mele sunt 2,3,9,10,21,24, 26,32! Daca ar trebui insa sa aleg una, ar fi cu siguranta rochia nr.26 (cea mov inchis cu detalii auri in partea de sus si centura argintie)! Esti cu adevarat grozava si sunt sigura ca o sa devii foarte cunoscuta in scurt timp!
Fiecare design este atat de fain, n-am cuvinte; si cu cat le privesc mai mult cu atat ved alte detalii dementiale!!! 3, 20, 24, 27 sunt preferatele mele, lovelovelove them!
Sunt SUPERBE absolut toate, mi-ar placea sa le vad pe catwalk, esti foarte talentata
well, i must admit, no 26 is my favourite too!(if it has side pockets i adore it even more!) but i wonder if the fashionistas that watched your blog from the beginning noticed what a huge step you made in such a short time! all the clothes look so well finished, carefully sewed and painted. it’s amazing! lovelylovelylovely!

I love the collection! It is very cohesive and interesting! My favorite looks are 7,8,9,22,25,26,27,29,31 and 35. If I still owned my clothing store I would have bought all those styles! Great work, you should try out for Project Runway.

Looks 2 3 12 and 31 I absolutely cannot get enough of!!!

oh la la! i love the color scheme & draping! You can see all the work that has gone into the garments and the minute details that make them special. It’s so difficult to even pick a favorite, I think Look 7 is my favorite though- a little white dress :). It makes me so happy to see how far you’ve come!

Wonderful designs! So inspiring :) I love to sew myself, but unfortunately fabric is ridiculously overpriced here in Norway. And the only fabric store with decent fabrics in my town closed recently. I don’t understand why it has to be this way… designers I have talked to who are trying to make it here say it’s a big problem. Some of them actually have to take trips to Paris etc. to get fabrics. Insane, right? There should be some law against this to protect aspiring talents ;) haha
