Diana Bobar

Welcome to my website ... and enjoy my journey inside the twisted world of Romanian fashion: from fabric choosing to pattern cutting, to the actual sewing - right now, I try to do my best in bulding my own clothing label: DIANA BOBAR DESIGN and having fun blogging the process.

DBD Spring’08 RTW Collection

dbd ss08 full collection 1

DBD - Diana Bobar Design ss’08 rtw collection [click to enlarge].

I am glad to finally present you the DBD - Diana Bobar Design spring/summer 2008 ready-to-wear collection. After three weeks of non-stop sewing (literally) I finally finished it. It’s my first full collection, so I wanted to make it very representative of myself and my own style; that’s why I chose so much pink. Basically I made clothes that I’d love to wear! Some garments feature painted or hand-pleated details.

I sewed each and every piece of clothing you see here all by myself, using a very old, borrowed sewing machine that I placed on the heater (I still have no working desk - must do something about that; hint: a personal art/sewing atelier would be amazing!!!). I sell all the pieces you see here, so if you want to get one of my designs (sewed in your size, especially for you) just contact me at diana[at]sofashon.com or dianabobar[at]yahoo.com. The prices are in the range of 50 - 60 Euro + 13 Euro shipping tax for customers outside Romania. I have a working Paypal account as a payment possibility and I do ship to every part of the world.

To take a closer look at each of my clothing designs and read more about them, just click to read the full post. Do tell me what you think!!!!

Possibly if I were to take a weekend trip to Romania you could make me dress 31? or another? and i would get to meet you and see romania? I will be here in Europe for quite some time.

I know my blog is shit. I do not keep up with it. Talk to you later.

  53. Wonderful designs! So inspiring :) I love to sew myself, but unfortunately fabric is ridiculously overpriced here in Norway. And the only fabric store with decent fabrics in my town closed recently. I don’t understand why it has to be this way… designers I have talked to who are trying to make it here say it’s a big problem. Some of them actually have to take trips to Paris etc. to get fabrics. Insane, right? There should be some law against this to protect aspiring talents ;) haha

Camilla on 5 February 2008 at 6:04 pm
  54. absolutely amazing!! i was just scrolling trough and thought “another great but way too expensive designer” but it seems like with you i could for once afford a real designer piece! :-)
