I know I have been less of a fashion blogger lately, but it’s just because I have so many things to do, so many orders to literally sew, that I don’t have time for anything else. Go buy the fabric, search for the right one, get back home, cut the pattern, cut the fabric, sew the pieces together, photograph on a dress form, pack for shipping, run to the post office, wait at a line to send the package, scan/photograph the receipt and e-mail it to the client; and then do everything all over again, obviously alone, in my case [no assistants yet, hehe]. It is a lot of work. I am grateful to be doing it, but it’s hard when I have to work all by myself. It doesn’t leave time for anything else. I wish a day had 50 hours or so…
But when something exciting happens, it makes it all worth it: my designs are now for sale in a real store in Bucharest called Ummagumma. Last December, when I made my New Year’s resolutions, one of the wishes was for a store that would carry my designs. Well, it happened and I am so glad it all turned out for the best.
The store recently opened and features lots of amazing and unique clothes and accessories from up-and-coming and established Romanian designers. You’ll also find Coca Zaboloteanu shoes there, so make sure to pay them a visit if you are in Bucharest [address: Calea Victoriei 122].
DO ask explicitly for the ‘Diana Bobar Design’ clothes [it all happened so fast that my quilted labels weren’t ready] and enjoy the shopping!
