Diana Bobar

Welcome to my website ... and enjoy my journey inside the twisted world of Romanian fashion: from fabric choosing to pattern cutting, to the actual sewing - right now, I try to do my best in bulding my own clothing label: DIANA BOBAR DESIGN and having fun blogging the process.

Graduate Fashion Shows

The dress I made to wear on the first day of the graduate fashion shows. First pic: me trying it out at home, after almost finishing it; second: at the event.

Me, hosting the event at DJ Da Saint’s booth.

You might remember when I told you (here) about me being a host for the graduate fashion shows from the Art University in Timisoara. It happened on Monday and Tuesday and it was a whole lot of fun excitement. The second day went way better, just because I got all the info I needed and had time to prepare, so I got into presenting really fast and got over all the natural emotions, that one gets, when talking at a microphone, in front of a big crowd. Basically what I had to read where the ‘Thank You’s’ to all the teachers and introduce the collections. Talking in front of a crowd/presenting/hosting some event is definitely something you learn from experience and you just have to concentrate, stay calm and don’t look at it as such a big deal. Basically have fun with it and get over whatever mistakes might happen. I really had fun and would like to do it again sometime! Why not, right?

The second dress I wore at day 2 of the event. You might know it as a skirt from my fall collection (this look).

Arina Varga is a 4th year graduate who showed her graduate collection a couple of days before, at another event. All her models wore black bob wigs similar to my haircut and it was funny that the next day most people thought I had a wig on, too. They actually couldn’t believe it was my real hair, most actually touched it to believe. Funny! [photo credit: Sebastian Tataru]

My sweetheart friend Roro modeled a lot of shows. Top photos: walking for Gabriela Mot [photo credit: Fashion Marathon] and for another 4th year graduate student [photo credit: Sebastian Tataru]; bottom photos: walking for Lautas Doris [photo credit: Sebastian Tataru], cute Mermaid bride.

Still have to post pictures of the one collection everybody, including me, loved: Ligia Carabet’s collection (and not only because she used a cotton fabric that I also used for a top I wore last week, when we met up to discuss about the shows).

Congratulations to all graduates and may they follow up with even better collections next season!

  1. Hey sweety! About the wigs…I’m a girl, not a “he” :)-> girl power! Sorry about the confusion with your own hair, but you should take it as a compliment! You know I love your hair cut! :D Kisses

Congrats!

  13. Salut!
Cum fac sa intru in posesia rochitei cu volanase? Si la ce pret e? Mersi

Thx
