During the summer, the painting students from the Art University of Timisoara? [me included] have to paint about 40 landscapes, all in different manners/style according to the time/space frames our teacher gave us. Starting from the 14th century in Italy, France, the Netherlands, going through Impressionism, Expressionism [...] until the abstract and modern art. Documentation of every painting “era” is pretty important and the hardest part of it all. However, thanks to the internet, Wikipedia and so many online galleries this job got a whole lot easier.
I? have to get everything done by the 10th September, and I only about (right) now started documenting. I’ll have to really work hard and paint a lot the next week, to make up for spending my vacation with sewing rather than doing my original job, which is painting. [Don't get me wrong, it's not like I don't like painting, but it's abstract art that I express myself through, not Dutch painting of the 15th century].
Why the f*** didn’t I go to fashion design school??? If I did, than I wouldn’t have had to excuse myself spending time whit these kind of images, for getting inspiration from these “artworks”, rather than paintings from the 14th century [I don't say that's not a great source of inspiration fashion wise, just that to paint like that now is very, very (and I mean VERY) hard].

I’d rather try to make a “masculine blazer-dress” from a huge suit jacket, than painting trees and dogs and sees and frogs. Gr! And I just got lots of new fabric that’s just waiting to be sewn together into pretty, unique Diana Bobar dresses.

its not too late to go to fashion design school! you’ll just be a double threat.. designer AND photographer
:)
The fashion illustrations are nice.could you look at my blog, yours is very good.
You could always try reasoning with your art teacher to get your deadline extended. I did that w/ an art teacher in college. I started late on a project, and I knew I wasn’t going to get it done in time, so I went by the teacher’s office to talk to her about it. I told her that I knew that I could get the project done on time, but that if I could have a couple more days, I knew that the quality of my project would be much better. She gave me another week and I got a fab piece of art completed for her. It’s worth trying - all she can say is no, right?
And I agree with le petite fashionista - it’s not too late. One of my favorite quotes is “It’s never to late to be what you might have been”.

Oh well, how about fashion editor? What must you learn to become one?
