I talked a lot about me loving the craziest color of pink: the fuchsia, for a while now. So, when I got that second hand high-waisted skirt, I just needed to try some looks out! While I do understand that by telling you I like pink, it sounds as if I was a “Paris Hilton” kinda girl, hopefully I don’t come across that way. [I am no spoiled brat and certainly no blond girl who went to prison for publicity].
Anyway, listen to this: Chanel nail polish is the best. Ever! The soft spot in my heart for bold (almost neon) pink happened one day at the market, when I met this Romanian guy who stole cosmetics from Italy and sold them very cheap over here. That day was one of the luckiest days of my life, as I got 3 bottles of Chanel foundation, that is perfect for my skin color and of course, the perfect foundation there is in this world!!! Seriously. There’s a reason why their prices are so high: it’s called quality. Anyway, so I got this nail color about 1 year ago and I still have lots of it (even though, last summer in the U.S., me and my friend Antonia always had perfect pink toe nails). Then I saw these amazing photographs [aren't those the perfect pink lips ever??] from Numero Tokyo May 2007, shot by Dusan Reljin and it enhanced my love for boldness even more.
Is this a pose trend? There are only so many ways a human body can move, right? That’s Coco Rocha in the black&white photo, by Sofa Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello for Numero (Belle Canaille).
Some more bit of inspiration: looks like the colored tights are popping up everywhere, not only in photo shoots, but on the streets too. All the pictures in the left collage are from theFaceHunter. Also, first I noticed this length and the rolled up pants on theSartorialist. But the New York shows for next summer had loads of looks featuring these kind of pants. I still have to get more pairs to see how hard they are to wear, but I am keen on completely expressing my farewell to boring, “casual” jeans. A FashionSpot user (last row, last pic on the right) tried the jodhpurs from Zara on, and they look amazing, don’t they? Also, I’ve heard from the Queens of Kingdom Of Style that there’s a real Balenciaga fest at Zara. However, I know you can find similar pieces at sh stores too!
I do like this shirt/dress for some reason. I know it’s MK Olsen, so last season, but I think it works well layered over another over size shirt, worn with colored tights.
Here’s my take on the “uni-colored coordination” trend. I know, everybody does it in dark, moody hues and colors, but as I have so many pink garments, well, this is what works for me. I still have to decide on whether or not to go out dressed exactly like this; come to think being called “pink panther” is not that bad after all, is it?
Degraded colors scarf; I’d turn it into a real dress in a few seconds, but my sister won’t let me.
So, this is a similar pant to those on the upper collage. It is very comfortable to wear, not that hard to style, it probably works even better on skinny people, however they are wearable. Now, try telling that to my teenage sister, who’s daily uniform consists of jeans, jeans, jeans. I love the printed stars on my mom’s shirt, that she recently got as a present from Germany. Pretty versatile, no?
This blue top is very textured and kind of made me think of Prada (I know that’s like a gazillion times better, but hey, we might as well work with what we have, right?). More Prada-inspired looks later. Now I have to think what to do with these ankle boots. I made them from a pair of normal boots, in which my foot didn’t exactly get in. After I cut them at the ankle, it was easier to get them on. However, the edge where I cut them is kinda rough looking. I wanted to sew them, but the leather is too hard for my sewing machine. Oh well, I’m gonna think of something. Or be lazy and leave them like they are.
Notice the colored tights? Searching through my closet today, I realized I actually had lots of pairs. Oh well, I don’t have my closet in a computer data base on my PC, yet.
Would be a great ideea, right?

love all the creative outfits! what did you wear as jodhpurs, or did you have a similar looking pair? i’d love to try on a pair but i havent really seen them in any stores around here. haha i have an all pink picture too i did in a mini photoshoot with friends (http://lapetitefashionista.blogspot.com/2007/08/fall-fashion-extravaganza.html)
.. how fun to dress in all one color!
xoxo
Love those pink lips…you definitely need a database for your wardrobe!
I have doubts about the pink outfit :) it should pe pink from top to bottom..the same shade of pink. The ankle boots look red to me and the scarf purple…maybe because I don’t have my glasses on :))
I would like to wear HOT PINK dress, pink thights and grey patent leather ankle boots :D yummy!!!;))
well, i may have a lot of pink garments, but it’s not like I own everything in pink!!:) have to work with what i have, right?:)
I like the pink combos on you. You need different values in an outfit, head to toe of the same color- whatever it be- let alone pink will turn you into Barbie- you’ve been warned, lol.
But I don’t think you come from a bubble gum perspective, hot pink and magenta suit your coloring very well (don’t ever die your hair any other color! It’s the most gorgeous shade of black). You understand color very well. If anything, I’d break it up with some neutrals, maybe a gray, silver, or even a bit of camel or a bit of chocolate brown, but then I’d edit and take away one or two pink items, there’s only so much clothing one can do before looking like they’re wearing the entire closet. Speaking of which, you’re closet must be bursting at the seams. I wish I was in Romania, I’d love to organize it. I see groups, and categories, and seasons, and colors, and lengths, and labels… whaaaat? Doesn’t everyone own a label machine and coordinated hangers?!
:)))) Labels?? Most of my clothes are vintage from thrift store. But I would definitely love for you to organize my closet. It’s really chaos in there!
And don’t worry, I will never ever die my hair:) It’s naturally this way and it will stay the same, trust me:)
I didn’t mean labels, like brands, I meant the little label maker I just got since I was spending too much time cutting little pieces of paper to label boxes, and fabrics, and folders, and files (magazine tear outs for inspiration- I have several 2″ binders full of pics categorized in all different ways- I can get messy temporarily, but if I know everything has a place to go back to when I’m done feeling “creative”, it keeps things from overwhelmingly taking over- that and “letting go of things” a few times a year- if I don’t need something I give it away or throw it out if it’s in bad shape. It’s hard sometimes coz you feel like you “need” everything, or that you “might need it”, but let’s be honest, if it’s somewhere in the back of the house and you don’t remember what it is or where it is, you can get through life without it- and the more room you make, the more new things you can get which is half the fun anyway- “de-cluttering is the first step to organization” :). I did my friend’s closets (and they lived- then we went shopping, and they got really happy :) :) :). What, don’t look at me like I’m from another constellation! Some people like to clean, I love to organize, lol;.. blush. It’s a great way to feel useful and therefore less guilty when you’re supposed to be doing something and you’re procrastinating. Or when I have too many ideas and I can’t do anything because I can’t make a decision- analysis paralysis. Tip no two- Ironing is great for when I’m anxious, or upset about something, smoothing out wrinkles calms me down. Ooohm… ;) not to mention everything looks more organized when they’re nice and pressed, and it saves time too when getting dressed in a hurry.
It’s OK to be a neat freak sweety :D
I’ve bought Chanel polish for a friend of mine before. I knew she adored Chanel (she even wanted a Chanel tattoo, a little ghetto i know). So I bought her a bottle for Christmas it was one of their limited edition holiday colors. She said it was one of the sweetest things anybody did for her.
I think a computer database of your closet has been every girl’s dream since Clueless. You have to check out this Fashion File feature of Tamara Mellon’s (of Jimmy Choo & the soon to be relaunched Halston fame) closet. I aspire to have her closet one day.
I also really like the pink ombre scarf.

Aww, thanks for that vid! It’s amazing to have such a closet, isn’t it?
