This month Tabu magazine organized a blogging event where Romanian fashion bloggers got an exclusive preview of both covers, one featuring Alexandra Sandor dresses as Galliano and one dresses as Lagerfeld. My favorite was the Galliano cover just because I love him and his work more than Lagerfeld’s. So it really is a subjective opinion, but the Tabu stylist and make-up artists really did a great job with both impersonations.
‘In 2000, he said that he also had found his inspiration for the couture collection of boho-meets-hobo chic he unveiled that January during his jogging sessions, when running past the homeless people lining the river.’
This information about Galliano really stuck with me since then and made me laugh, but I could understand it perfectly because when I used to paint inspiration came in the weirdest moments and I just felt the need to paint. Ugh, right now I kind of miss that.
Here is the Lagerfeld Tabu cover:
Which one do you like best? I guess it’s weird to see how people impersonate you, it is what you reflect on the outside for everybody to percieve, right? I would be curios to see how someone would impersonate me. :)
