Diana Bobar

Welcome to my website ... and enjoy my journey inside the twisted world of Romanian fashion: from fabric choosing to pattern cutting, to the actual sewing - right now, I try to do my best in bulding my own clothing label: DIANA BOBAR DESIGN and having fun blogging the process.

Nouvelle Vague

A model striking poses on the floor: nothing new. But Isabeli Fontana, one of my favorite models ever (she is a mother, go figure, with that figure of hers!) in a greatly styled fashion spread? Love! At first sight I loved the whole “nude jumpsuit” look (up, far right) and then, after taking a closer look, I saw the white crocheted dress (middle row, left) and I knew I had to post this. Given that both my grandmas crotchet, I really know how much handwork goes into such a complex piece. I, too, will have some crocheted details on some of my fall/winter 2008/9 dresses, so maybe that’s why I’m excited to see such craftsmanship in fashion spreads. And a perfectly styled editorial is always refreshing to see.

  1. ah yes, i remember now she is a mother. i remember her backstage at one of the victoria secret fashion shows saying something like “i had my baby, i need to prove that i can still do this.”

the nude body suit is weirdly interesting. and i like the sheer vuitton(?) scarf and how that look mimics a suit.
