If you scratched your favorite pair of flats, or even if you’re just sick of the color, the easiest thing to do is to paint them with nail polish! No, seriously! I am not joking.
I do it often, it’s easy and it doesn’t go out while washing. There are special colors for leather/shoe fabric/textiles, but they are expensive, so it’s better to use cheap nail polish. It’s not like it destroys your nails, it stays onto everything and dries out easily. So whenever you get bored of you shoes, just grab a interesting color of nail polish (make sure you can buy more from where you got it, in case you didn’t get enough) and get to work. If the brush is too small, just grab a bigger one and get to work.
These are my sisters flats before. They were a little scratched on the front, at the toes. If you look closely you can see that they’re not out of leather and can look worn out/destroyed very easily.
However by painting with nail color over the “destroyed zones” you get a uniform, nice toe area which makes them look new. What a great idea! Don’t be shy and try it out. And if you don’t like it, just rub it off. Or choose another color. This is the easiest AND cheapest way in which you can have the same shoe in different colors.
After. They look even and almost like new.
