Funnel necks for coats and sweater-dresses I absolutely adore. I actually have some designs finished from my future fall/winter collection that have big funnel necks, most of them don’t stay so rigidly up like in Margiela’s collection, but rather fall on the bust, not hiding the neck, but rather showing it in it’s “full glory”. However, I really liked these Margiela pieces, and after a visit to the dentist I came to the conclusion that hiding behind a big funnel neck can be good: there aren’t a lot of people who like the smell of tooth-ache induced pain. I wonder what Margiela’s team used to make those necks stay that stiff and up. Gravity can be a tricky problem sometimes.

Just because I absolutely LOVED the latest Rick Owens collection, I wanted to share it with you. Ignore the Hedi Slimane inspired hair-in-the-face which makes the models look like “they had swaggered through the apocalypse”, concentrate on then amazing cuts of the most amazing leather jackets, or on the fur pieces that look so not tacky it actually makes me what to wear them. Oh, how I would wear each and every single piece of this collection.
