Besides the orders and clients, what makes me happy is to see that people react to my work. I even appreciate negative comments, because I get to learn from my mistakes (that I might not see alone). However, I must confess that I was beyond happy about people’s incredibly positive reactions to my spring/summer collection. I really didn’t expect so much feedback, so I thank all of you, one more time.
I don’t ask for the money right away, after I get an order. I usually send the package first and then expect to get paid. However, people are not always fair. Unfortunately I had bad experiences, people who didn’t pay (there was this girl from NY that I sent a skirt to: no money). I forget the few bad experiences when I think of faithful fashionista - clients who respect my work.
Anyway, enough about the negative, one learns from mistakes and in my case, the process is sure going to be long and tough, as I have to learn it all by myself. At least now I have a logo (yey!) for my future fashion house: DBD - Diana Bobar Design. I’ll have it printed on the labels, use it as a stamp and so on. Also, you might have noticed the new banner with one of my spring/summer ‘08 designs. If you like my work and would like to support me, you can post it on your sidebar (banner, logo, whatever you want), by copying the image location and pasting it into your blog account.
Either way, I appreciate every comment as it makes all the hard work, the sleepless nights, the financial struggle worth it. Special thanks to the websites that featured my collection these last couple of days:
Update: The wonderful and incredibly supportive editors of Flu and Fashion Directory wrote amazing articles about me and my spring/summer 2008 collection. I’m really overwhelmed because of all the reactions and can’t wait to start work on the fall collection.

That 2nd dress is absolutely beautiful. The greys, reds, and pinks, beautiful.

and i must say: WELL DONE!!!! it´s an amazing collection, very personal… i would love to buy one of your dresses. But i can´t :( maybe later when i can have my own bank account! :D

oh my goodness Diana. i just saw your collection for the first time and it is truly fantastic. The sheer one-shouldered tulle(?) dress layered with the pink…and the navy dress with the big purple and white corsages were outstanding. Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment!
