Welcome to my website ... and enjoy my journey inside the twisted world of Romanian fashion: from fabric choosing to pattern cutting, to the actual sewing - right now, I try to do my best in bulding my own clothing label: DIANA BOBAR DESIGN and having fun blogging the process.

“Runaway Train” Photo Shoot

Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I’m neither here no there;”

“Can you help me remember how to smile
Make it somehow all seem worthwhile.
How on earth did I get so jaded,
Life’s mystery seems so faded;”

“I can go where no one else can go
I know what no one else knows…”

[Photography, Styling, Hair & Make-Up, : Diana Bobar [outfits from personal closet]; Model: Roxana Vuc (thank you so much darling; with each shoot we do together you get better and better as a model!); Location: Resita, Romania].

I used my usual Sony DSC H-1 Cybershot. I wish I’d have a better one:) but to afford a more professional one, I would have to sell lots of dresses:))))

  16. Your shoots are always so good! I’m digging the black, white, and red color scheme and the way that the red lips really pop next to the black and white.

  20. Wow Diana, well done! Your last two photoshoots are really proffessional. One curiosity though…how do you change outfits when outside? I suppose you don’t cave some sort of cabin or…I really wonder how you do it. :)

Irys on 24 September 2007 at 9:18 am
  21. well, Roxana always had tights on, and a sports bra, so she didn’t actually undress. but she changes just like that, sitting on the bench or somewhere, where I leave all the stuff:)

dianabobar on 24 September 2007 at 9:44 am
  22. Diana, that was great! I’m just curious about the location… where did you find it? Did you created or it was like that…with the train and everything…
Seeing how determined you are - that pictorial can be published without any “make-up” in any glossy magazine in Romania, my question is: “Are you ready to move to Bucharest to really make a point in the fashion industry?”.
Try to send your photoshoots to some publications, maybe you’ll be appreciated and get an offer :D - if you didn’t do it so far.
    However, good luck!

    andreea v on 24 September 2007 at 11:15 am
  25. I also ’subscribe’ to Elena’s point of view. But I think the question is WHEN is Diana ready, because I can see she’s deffinately prepared! ;)

  30. Your photography skills really are commendable. Whilst the clothes aren’t particularly rocking my world, you have still managed to capture a beauty with colour and location instead.
You have made Rox look absolutely outstanding - the makeup actually looks professionally done, whereas on earlier shoots it did seem like girls playing dress up - but you’ve really upped the anti with this one, and I look at professional photographer’s work all the time as part of my job. Well done. Really well done.

  31. Thank you so much. In a way I am happy to hear that, in another way I am really scared to do the next shoot. Because you always want to top your work, right?

dianabobar on 28 September 2007 at 2:37 pm
  32. Don’t be scared, there would only be reason to be scared if this had been a fluke, a one-off, but it’s not, with every shoot you have done, you have become better! And even though this one is very good (I once again love the colour scheme, it’s just so… perfect), your next one will go even further and be once again better than the last, because that’s the natural progression of things:)
