Lindsay Lohan [via justjared]; Vogue Beauty [via tfs].
There is one thing I can’t quite understand: what the appeal of orange skin color is. I do go at the tanning salon from time to time and I am lucky to have a natural brown pigment (I guess it’s the Latin roots) , so I don’t need a lot of sessions to look like I just came back from the Bahamas. By that I mean having a natural looking, healthy tan. However, when I saw this picture of Lindsay Lohan (I usually stay away from posting about celebrities; I’ll let Perez do that) I felt a bit sick. Besides the fact that her skin hurts to look at, her make-up is so bad! I am sure she has a lot of professionals hired to do the job, at least they shouldn’t let her walk out like that.
Thank God for Anja and her Vogue Beauty “Nude Colors” editorial, it makes it all go away. If the skin is flawless the rest just works with it. I never understood the appeal of blush anyways. I also like Raquel’s make-up on the cover of the latest issue of i-D magazine. Click to read the full post and see what I’m talking about.

Rihanna has darker skin, and she works the “nude lips” look perfectly in this picture. I also love the neck-detailing of her dress.

I never understood the appeal of looking like an orange glowstick either. But I’ve never been a big fan of tans (at least for myself).
as much as i like having a healthy glow, porcelain skin can be so pretty and they will have wrinkle-less skin when they’re older:)

No one should have let Lindsay Lohan out like that but i am all for getting a fake tan over going to the solarium or in the sun! Every person in Australia probably knows someone who has or has had skin cancer…and its scary!
I wish i could have porcelain skin but i have a few freckles on my nose that spoils the whole look!
xxx
she’s famous for her white freckled skin..so in a way I do appreciate her restrain from the sun..I don’t like the orange though

this tanning obsession in america is ridiculous there are now tanning salons that are open 24 hrs a day, i wish i was joking…
i didn’t realise that was la lohan? she looks terrible! i don’t understand as well the appeal of such tans!
Urghh, there’s nothing worse than orange skin!
o my lohan does look way too orange!! i hate it when ppl use TOO much self-tan and look orange!! i am wondering whether i should bother using my johnsons tanning moisturiser at all this year… hmmm
I hate the carrot (or orange, if you prefer) skin look. Here in Denmark there are quite some people addicted to it. Ew!
