Donna Karan pre-fall 2008. Vests and furs: looks a lot like the paintings, no? [credit:TFS, wikipedia]
“Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn was a Dutch painter. He is generally considered one of the greatest painters and printmakers in European art history and the most important in Dutch history. His contributions to art came in a period that historians call the Dutch Golden Age”. Well, it looks like his style is quite ‘it’ right now. Dutch painting seems to inspire fashion a lot lately, so when I saw all these head-pieces I instantly thought of Rembrandt’s self-portraits. Painting and Art History seems to be the greatest source of inspiration, for whatever creative field one is working in. Love!
